What We Do

Operating in a very unique space, FITA offers concise and highly integrated Banking and Technology courses for IT Professionals in the financial services IT sector. This is FITA’s differentiating factor as most courses available in the market place tend not to be so highly coupled.

Our course curriculum is structured with the most pertinent trends and developments in the Financial IT Services Industry. The development of our course curriculum is guided and advised by an Industry Board of Advisers. The collective wisdom is formed by market leaders drawn from the financial services and IT sectors with representations from premier international banks, global consultancies and major IT companies.

Our comprehensive suite of programmes are either accredited under the Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF) Standards or aligned to the National Infocomm Competency Framework (NICF). Broadly, these programmes are offered under the 4 categories as depicted below.

Using a blended approach of classroom learning and hands-on simulation, our training is practice-oriented and leverages on industry applicable systems, relevant case studies, role pay and simulation games that are financial service related. Participants get the opportunity to work on close to real-life world-class banking systems. Our trainers from SMU faculty and industry professionals in their specific field of expertise come with a wealth of experience, thereby ensuring high training quality and effectiveness. Industry speakers may also be invited to provide further sharing of insights at some courses.

Participants who successfully complete their course will receive a Certificate awarded by the prestigious Singapore Management University. Additionally, participants who successfully complete the IBF Level 1 course will be conferred the IBF Qualified (IBFQ) certification status.
